About BlueNetBlueNet is the College’s web interface to the business administration server. Data available to students include general information, grades, course schedules and class registration. You can also use BlueNet to pay your tuition online.
Accessing BlueNetThe link for accessing BlueNet is on the Elmhurst College home page toward the bottom under Academics, or you can visit http://bluenet.elmhurst.edu/. You may also use the links provided under the "Resources" section on the right side of this page.
Forgotten User ID
If you are unable to recall the user ID for BlueNet, use the following steps:
- On the right-hand side of the BlueNet home page, click the "Forgot your User ID or Password?" link and, on the following screen, "What's my User ID?" link.
- Enter your last name (not your username) and either your Social Security account number OR the Student ID Number (without leading zeroes) found on your Jay-Pass student ID card in the boxes provided. You do not have to use capital letters or dashes. Click "Submit."

Forgotten passwordThere is a way to reset your BlueNet password using your email address.
- On the right-hand side of the BlueNet home page, click the "Forgot your User ID or Password?" link and, on the following screens, "What’s my Password?" link and "I don’t remember, reset my password." link.
- Enter your last name (not your username) and either your Social Security account number OR the Student ID Number (without leading zeroes) in the boxes provided. You do not have to use capital letters or dashes. Click "Submit."
- Select an email address from the drop-down list box and click "Send."
- Open the new message from WebAdvisor in your email. Copy the temporary password and use it to log in when you return to BlueNet.
- BlueNet will state that your current password has expired. At this step, create a new password following the guidelines.
Locked out messageIf you are unable to log in after three attempts, you will be locked out of BlueNet for 15 minutes.
